Golf & Gifts – 4 Of The Best Golf Gift Ideas

Monday, February 22nd, 2010

It often amazes me that some people struggle to come up with good golf gift ideas. I mean, we are not talking about a collector of expensive gold coins. We are talking about golfers and what they would like to receive. Golf & Gifts go together easily as there are so many options.

I myself have had my share of crass golf gifts over the years. I have had to put up with embarrassing golf presents like bright coloured knitted golf club headcovers with a Christmas theme. So, to avoid anymore of these unwanted golf gifts, here are my top 4 types of golf gifts.

Practical Golf Gifts

The best golf gifts that you can buy are practical ones. All you have to do is check to see which brand and type of golf balls the golfer uses. You could then either buy a dozen of those golf balls or maybe even buy some more expensive ones. Just make sure that you find out what golf ball specifications the golfer prefers – distance, high spin, medium feel, etc.

Another idea for the best golf gifts is to buy replacement brand name golf club headcovers. As an example, If the golfer uses Callaway golf clubs and the headcovers are mismatched or worn and scuffed, then you could buy some Callaway replacement headcovers.

Personalized Golf Gifts

If you want a more unique golf gift, then how about buying Personalized Golf Gifts. There are several choices of personalized golf equipment or accessories. The most popular are personalized golf balls, where you can usually have up to three lines of text imprinted on the golf balls of your choice.

Other items of personalized golf accessories are monogrammed golf caps, golf shirts, and golf towels. You can also get personalized golf bags with two lines of text from the likes of Nike and Callaway Golf.

Golf Memorabilia

If you are looking for an unusual golf gift then you can’t go wrong with Golf Memorabilia. You will want to make sure that the gift is authentic and certified golf memorabilia. Look for a guarantee and that every autographed product comes with a Certificate of Authenticity (COA).

One company that I know and trust is Pro Sports Memorabilia. These are the guys to go to for peace of mind when it comes to guarantees and certificates of authenticity. You will surely find that unusual golf gift you were looking for and something that any golfer would be pleased to receive.

Corporate Golf Gifts

If you have your own company and are also a golfer, you have probably done some business on the golf course. On the other hand, perhaps you work for a company and you need to buy corporate golf gifts for some customers. Either way, your best option is to order some custom logo golf gifts.

Custom logo golf accessories are a great way to promote your business. There are many customizable golf products, so you will be spoiled for choice. Custom logo golf balls are the most popular and they can even have their own custom logo packaging. Other items include custom logo shirts, tees, caps, umbrellas, divot tools, gloves and towels.

So, there you have my top 4 golf & gifts ideas. You should be able to find the perfect golf gift from these ideas – whether it is for a friend, a loved one, or a business associate. Also, you can visit my golf site for more information on Golf Accessories and Gifts.

How To Take Care Of Your Golf Bag

Sunday, February 21st, 2010

Golfing takes up plenty of time in some people’s weekly schedule. Besides going to the course itself, they spend much time outside buying the things that they need like apparatus and clothing.

One of the critical elements of the basic apparatus to play golfing is the golf bag. A golfing bag is important as it is where you keep everything ; from the essentials to the additional attire. However few people understand how to look after their golf bags.

Golf bags are these days not only restricted to golfers but also too many other groups of people, particularly students. Golfing , which was once just restricted to playing within the golfing course, is now even played in colleges. But often people just congest their bags with whatever possible and some even put in their books and college things within, and use them as their varsity backpack possible choices.

The different kinds

Basically there are 3 sorts of golfing bags, which are staff bags, carry bags and cart bags. A staff golfing bag is a big bag made of leather or other top of the range material that will accommodate all of the 14 clubs in a set, and it incorporates many segments to put other tools and equipments. A cart bag is a golfing bag which is smaller and has less segments, and used on carts. A carry bag is the tiniest type which is made of less expensive materials and only can accommodate the basic appliances.

What Should You Carry?

Basically a golf bag is where you keep the necessary equipment you would be using for the game; such as the balls, the clubs and the clothing. When we say the golf club, it would comprise all sorts of the club; woods, irons, wedges, hybrid and putters.

Some people keep other stuff such as drivers, the grit and such like. And for the night owls who like to play golfing in the dark, they keep a travel light, or a straightforward torch-light.

Besides that, some also keep their tees or other golfing shirts and track pants. Alternatively if you do not want to try this, you may have another bag to keep all these. The majority of the golfing bags come with padded segments so the clubs wouldn’t annoy the clothing that’s in the bag, or perhaps crumple them. But the lower-end ones don’t have many segments and are restricted to only a couple of things.
